Blending fashion presentations, art installations, photography, and live performances, the evening invites guests to move through a space where clothing becomes art, and creativity takes center stage.

SELVA HUYGENS
From Industrial Waste to Wearable Art
For Raiment Connect — Edition I, we were proud to welcome SELVA HUYGENS, a Berlin-based label challenging the boundaries between fashion, art and material innovation.
Founded around an uncompromising approach to design, SELVA HUYGENS transforms discarded car parts, metal hardware, industrial waste and reclaimed textiles into functional, sculptural and wearable pieces. Their work draws heavily from brutalist architecture and functional art, creating garments that feel as much like objects or sculptures as they do fashion.
At the heart of the brand is a different way of looking at what we consider waste. Materials normally associated with streets, scrapyards and industrial environments are given a new purpose. Stainless-steel components, car parts, connectors, hooks, carabiners and unconventional textiles become part of a design language that embraces structure, imperfection and transformation.
What makes SELVA HUYGENS particularly compelling is that the materials are never hidden. The construction becomes part of the story. Hardware, joins, zippers and structural elements remain visible, creating pieces that are modular and adaptable while challenging conventional ideas of beauty, gender and the body.
Their presentation at Raiment Connect — Edition I reflected exactly the kind of creative exchange the platform was created to support: work that does not simply ask to be looked at, but invites us to question, rethink and experience fashion differently.
SELVA HUYGENS reminds us that creativity can begin where conventional fashion ends, in the discarded, the unexpected and the overlooked.

RE:CONSTRUCT — A Study in Transformation
For Raiment Connect — Edition I, we were also proud to present Ralph Empire, the Berlin-based fashion label founded by Felix Ifeanyi Nduka.
Established in Berlin in 2022, Ralph Empire explores the dialogue between Berlin and Lagos, translating experiences of identity, cultural exchange and personal evolution into contemporary fashion. The brand is rooted in the belief that clothing can carry personal stories while remaining timeless, individual and carefully crafted.
For Raiment Connect, Ralph Empire presented RE:CONSTRUCT — a collection centred on the idea that identity is never fixed, but continuously shaped by experience.
Working primarily with reconstructed denim, the collection transforms familiar materials into refined silhouettes. Patchwork, reconstruction, precision tailoring, contrast topstitching and utility-inspired details become tools of transformation, allowing the original character of the material to remain visible.
The progression from raw, reconstructed forms towards more polished tailoring reflects a deeper idea: growth is a process of rebuilding. Every experience leaves a mark, but those marks can become part of something new.
Drawing from Felix’s experiences between Berlin and Lagos, RE:CONSTRUCT speaks to resilience, movement and cultural exchange. Denim becomes a natural foundation for this conversation — a material recognised across cultures and generations, yet capable of taking on completely different identities.

ELISABETH BAUER
BEYOND BOUNDARIES — Who We Were, Who We Are, Who We Want to Be
For Raiment Connect — Edition I, we were pleased to welcome Berlin-based fashion and textile designer Elisabeth Bauer, whose practice sits at the intersection of textile art, material experimentation and contemporary fashion.
Elisabeth’s creative roots lie in textile art. Her work brings together analog and digital processes, transforming individual artworks and photographic elements into textile surfaces that are further developed through techniques such as digital printing, quilting and embroidery. Sustainability, durability, adaptability and a strong appreciation for materials are central to her approach.
Her collection BEYOND BOUNDARIES — Who We Were, Who We Are, Who We Want to Be explores the psychological, social and ecological forces that shape contemporary European society. It questions the conventions we inherit — from social expectations and dress codes to assumptions around gender, materials and colour.
At the centre of the collection is a simple but powerful idea: clothing influences how we see ourselves and how we are seen by others. Fashion can protect, empower, transform or communicate emotions without words.
Through adaptive design elements, Elisabeth challenges these established boundaries and creates space for different ways of expressing identity. Her work demonstrates how textile experimentation can become a tool for questioning social perceptions while remaining deeply connected to the body and the experience of wearing.
For us, Elisabeth represents exactly the kind of emerging creative voice that Raiment Connect seeks to bring into the conversation — thoughtful, experimental and unafraid to question what fashion can communicate.

MINA MURASCHKIN
MINA WORLDWIDE — Fashion Shaped by Movement
For Raiment Connect — Edition I, we welcomed Berlin-based designer Mina Muraschkin, whose creative journey is deeply connected to movement, performance and the human body.
Mina came to Berlin to study fashion design and soon became part of the city’s artistic and subcultural scene. Alongside her studies, she worked as a dancer — an experience that profoundly influenced her understanding of movement, rhythm and transformation.
Her transition into theatre costume design allowed her to combine storytelling, construction and physical expression. Working for the stage taught her to create garments that are not only visually striking, but also functional, adaptable and alive in movement.
After more than a decade of independent creative work, Mina developed a distinctive design language centred around elasticity, corsetry and modular silhouettes.
Her collection MINA WORLDWIDE takes inspiration from her travels. Each piece was designed with a different destination in mind — from Barcelona and Iceland to Paris, Los Angeles, Riyadh, Tunisia, Las Vegas, Puglia and Berlin.
Rather than designing clothing to impose a fixed shape on the body, Mina creates pieces that allow the body to shape the garment. Her modular two-piece silhouettes can be transformed and worn in different ways, adapting to different bodies, moods and identities.
This approach makes Mina Worldwide more than a collection of travel-inspired looks. It becomes a reflection of movement itself — how we travel, how we change and how different places become part of who we are.

DINGA
Art, Body & Expression
For Raiment Connect — Edition I, Dinga brought a powerful intersection of abstract art, fashion and physical expression into the space.
A multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin, Dinga’s practice moves between abstract painting, performance, fashion and the body, exploring themes of identity, belonging, transformation and human connection. His paintings use gesture, texture and layered colour to create spaces where emotion and personal interpretation meet.
For Raiment Connect, his artistic language extended beyond the canvas. His artwork was presented within the event space, while body painting transformed the human body into another surface for artistic expression.
This created a dialogue between canvas, body and space — challenging the idea of where an artwork begins and where it ends.
The body became part of the exhibition.
Paint became part of the performance.
And fashion became part of a wider artistic conversation.
Dinga’s work asks us to look beyond fixed definitions of identity and expression. His practice understands identity as fluid and continuously negotiated, with boundaries becoming spaces that can be questioned and reimagined.
This is exactly the kind of creative exchange Raiment Connect was created to make possible: bringing disciplines together and giving emerging artists the freedom to experiment, connect and present their work in unexpected ways.

Contemporary Dance Performance
MARTHE & HANNE
Movement as Connection
For Raiment Connect — Edition I, movement became another language of creative expression through a dance performance by Marthe and Hanne.
Their Contemporary dance performance brought the human body into dialogue with the wider atmosphere of the event, creating a moment where movement, emotion and space came together.
Rather than simply accompanying the fashion presentations, the dance performance became its own form of storytelling — allowing the audience to experience the body not only as a wearer of fashion, but as an expressive medium in itself.
The performance reflected the spirit of Raiment Connect: creating space for different disciplines to meet, influence one another and create something that could not exist within a single creative field.
Dance became movement. Movement became expression. Expression became connection.
